Församlingen Livets Ord välkomnar David Ekerbring som ny huvudpastor

Efter en noggrann och omsorgsfull process har Församlingsledningen – tillsammans med Teologirådet och Representantskapet – enhälligt utsett David Ekerbring till ny huvudpastor. Vi är djupt tacksamma för det bönestöd vi fått och för den gemensamma tro vi delar på att Gud leder och bygger sin kropp.
Under de senaste tre åren har vår församling letts av en pastorsledning, en modell som har gett oss värdefulla insikter om kraften i gemensamt ledarskap. Med David som huvudpastor vill vi behålla detta teamfokus: han får i sitt uppdrag tydligt stöd av ett ledningsteam så att han kan lägga sin tid och kraft på det andliga ledarskapet, vår gemensamma vision samt ordet och bönen.

Jag är naturligtvis oerhört ödmjuk inför uppgiften men samtidigt i enkel tillit till Herren glad och förväntansfull på att tillsammans med teamet och vännerna i församlingen möta en välsignad framtid.
Kort om David Ekerbring
- Som elev och medlem
David kom till vårt gymnasium år 1995 och blev snabbt en aktiv del av vår församling under några år. Hans engagemang och hjärta för människor gjorde starkt intryck redan då. - Erfaren pastor och föreståndare
Under 21 år har David tjänat som avskild pastor, varav 10 år som föreståndare för en av Sveriges större trosförsamlingar. Där har han fått leda församlingen genom en fantastisk utveckling. - Nationellt ledarskap
Han har länge varit en drivande kraft inom Trosrörelsen, först som ordförande och idag som föreståndare. David sitter även som styrelseordförande i Skandinavisk Teologisk Högskola (STH) och är styrelseledamot i tidningen Världen Idag. - Hjärtat för tjänst
David brinner för att varje troende ska mobiliseras till sin unika tjänst. Han framhåller två huvudredskap i sitt eget kall: sitt liv som föredöme och sin förkunnelse, båda grundade i kärlek till Gud och människor.
Vi välkomnar David tillsammans med hela familjen Ekerbring och vi ser med glädje fram emot den resa vi nu inleder tillsammans. David kommer att tillträda tjänsten i början av september i samband med församlingens upptakt.

Livets Ord Welcomes David Ekerbring as New Senior Pastor
After a thorough and careful process, the Church Leadership – together with the Theology Council and the Representatives – has unanimously appointed David Ekerbring as the new Senior Pastor. We are deeply grateful for the prayer support we have received and for the shared faith we hold that God is leading and building His body.
Over the past three years, our congregation has been led by a pastoral leadership team, a model that has given us valuable insights into the strength of collective leadership. With David as Senior Pastor, we want to maintain this team focus: he will be clearly supported by a leadership team, allowing him to dedicate his time and energy to spiritual leadership, our shared vision, and the ministry of the Word and prayer.

About David Ekerbring
- As a student and member David joined our high school in 1995 and quickly became an active part of our congregation for several years. Even then, his commitment and heart for people made a strong impression.
Experienced Pastor and Senior Leader For 21 years, David has served as an ordained pastor, including 10 years as senior pastor of one of Sweden’s larger Word of Faith churches. During this time, he has led the congregation through remarkable growth and development.
National Leadership He has long been a driving force within the Word of Faith movement, first as chairman and currently as a senior leader. David also serves as chairman of the board at Scandinavian School of Theology (STH) and is a board member of the newspaper Världen Idag.
A Heart for Ministry David is passionate about mobilizing every believer into their unique calling. He emphasizes two main tools in his own ministry: living as an example and proclaiming the Word – both deeply rooted in love for God and for people.
We warmly welcome David and the entire Ekerbring family and joyfully look forward to the journey we are now beginning together. David will officially assume the position at the beginning of September in connection with the congregation’s annual kickoff.
